MicrodermabrasionMicrodermabrasion is a skin refreshing procedure (non-surgical) which uses aluminum oxide crystals to be brushed onto the surface of the skin where it removes dry, dead or redundant cell tissue with little trauma, but with high precision. Microdermabrasion is beneficial for the following skin problems:
Microdermabrasion is performed in our safe, peaceful and relaxing facility in Manhattan, New York. The microdermabrasion procedure is performed by our skin care specialists and consists of the dead skin cells, along with the crystals being immediately "sucked" or vacuumed back into the handpiece which flows back through soft, plastic tubes to the aspirator - which provides both the force of velocity of the crystals against the skin and the reverse removal of the skin cells by suction. All of this activity is performed in seconds - allowing the therapist to move in precise patterns. The microdermabrasion therapist has total control over the velocity force of the crystals and also the suction force which can increase the abrasion to a progressive deeper level (near the peripheral capillaries) or decrease the abrasion to affect only the stratum corneum leaving light trails of pinkish stria which vanish in a few minutes. |
